<br />Klmley-Horn was selected through an on -call agreermant with the City to provide street rehabilitation services for various
<br />streets within the City. The genarai scope of Work was to evaluate the sulteble pavement rehabilitation methodologies
<br />and select the methods that were most sultabie for the Citft budget, this project also included Isolated concrete
<br />Improvements including, sidewalk, curb and gutter, crossguttors, curb ramps,, bus pads, and medians, Some of the
<br />pavement rehabilitation methods that were evaluated ware cold In -place recycling, conventional asphalt removal and
<br />replacement, and cold mill and overlay. Each method was evaluated with conventional asphalt andrubberized asphalt,

<br />Klmley-Worn. has completed pavement rehabilitation design under several task orders:
<br />Catawba Avenue, SloverAvanue, HemlockAvanue, Beech Avenue, and PopularAvenuo: Improvements entailed
<br />pavement replacement and overlays per geotechnicai recommendations; miscellaneous concrete Improvements where
<br />adjacent Improvements were affacted; and reconstructioniresetiing of affected private property improvements such as fences,
<br />walls, curb drains, and motors. Various pavement rehabilitation options were Investigated; conventional asphalt concrete
<br />replacement was recommended along one -street and full -depth asphalt recyclingn
<br />(FDAR) along the others. The construction cost savings by going with FDAR were0.
<br />sum
<br />approximately 40 percent in comparison to conventional remove•and-replace ;
<br />options. Coordination was required to obtain permits for work adjacent to two �f
<br />UPRR at grade rail crossings and for work associated with affected utilities.
<br />Klmley-Horn also assisted the City in applying for Preposition 1B funds through
<br />the State and Local Partnership Program (SLPP).
