He has a strong background in local agency operations and management, and has split his career between the public and private sectors, Specifically, John is a recognized expert in integrated water resource planning and flood risk assessments, as well as the preparation of analyses conducted under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), as well as compliance with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and SB 92 inundation mapping. John serves on the Board of Directors for the Floodplain Management Association (FMA) and the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP), He is a Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) and a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM). John is a Vice President with Michael Baker International and manages the firm's water resources practice in southern California.
