Name of Applicant: Award Amount: Category: Average Score: <br />Orange County $6,030 Organization 85.6-6 th <br />Children's Therapeutic <br />Arts Center (OCCTAC) <br />Organization's Description of Project: <br />The Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center (OCCTAC) will produce a large-scale <br />Youth Art Exhibition ("We are Santa Ana") to celebrate our Santa Ana youth, history, culture and <br />diversity! The Art Exhibition will feature middle school students' personal self-portraits through <br />visual arts to express their cultural identity, voice and self-image! In addition, OCCTAC will <br />produce a Multicultural Family Festival that same day to celebrate the rich cultural diversity in <br />Santa Ana, in partnership with the Mexican Consulate, the Cambodia Family and Southland <br />Integrated Services. <br />Organization is based in Santa Ana and proposes to use grant funds to provide arts and culture <br />programming in Wards 1-6. <br />Organization's proposed use of funds:: <br />The majority of the funds will be used to hire local Santa Ana Artists and Contracted Instructors <br />for this project, as well as to pay Artists Stipends for the Multicultural Family Festival ($3,772). <br />In addition, OCCTAC will require some materials and supplies for the Art workshops and <br />Exhibition. ($758); and funds for the production of the Art Exhibition and Multicultural Family <br />Festival ($1,500). <br />Answers to Supplemental Questions: <br />Question 1: Please describe any additional City of Santa Ana resources required for your <br />project (permits, public space, licenses etc.) that you are required to obtain? <br />The Orange County Children's Therapeutic ARTS Center has a business license and all required <br />insurances to conduct project/event. The only City of Santa resource that we will probably <br />request is the City of Santa Ana stage for the festival. <br />Question 2: Is this a new or existing program/project?: <br />Yes, this is a new project for the Orange County Children's Therapeutic ARTS Center (OCCTAC). <br />Although this is a new project, OCCTAC has done similar projects in the past with our strong <br />community partners, such as the Santa Ana Unified School District, the Mexican Consulate, the <br />Cambodian Family and Southland Integrated Services. Please see letters of support attached <br />with this proposal. <br />Question 3: How will the proposed project be presented or shared with the public? Will the <br />art display, event or performance be free and accessible to the public? <br />The Orange County Children's Therapeutic ARTS Center will work together with our community <br />partners to share with the public this exciting event, featuring our talented Santa Ana youth from <br />the various ethnic/cultural communities in Santa Ana!
