Unders#andsng o�'Needs <br />2.1 Understanding the City's Project Needs <br />Project Partners understands that the City Is seeking engineering support services to help the <br />Public Works Agency to Increase the number of projects completed. Support Is being sought <br />specifically In the areas of Design, Construction Management, Plan Check, Project <br />Management, and Inspection. <br />Project Partners believes that the City is facing the same challenges of many other public <br />agencies; reduced staff and increased workloads. <br />Challenges are expected to continue as retirements <br />are expected to rise rate with the aging of the "baby <br />boomers" generation combined with the ongoing <br />pension crisis is making it difficult for public sectors <br />to hire level staff. <br />Our understanding of these challenges has helped <br />shaped our business model, to provide public <br />agencies relief by providing engineering technical <br />support to get projects done. <br />2.2 Our Approach <br />As mentioned above, our goal is to provide the City with highly qualified engineering <br />professionals at a cost-efficient rate and remain CaIPERS compliant.
