The approval of this application would support Policy 4.5
of the Economic Development Element of the General Plan. This
policy encourages making land use decisions not based on purely
fiscal consideration and stresses the importance of the qualitative
implications that are associated with new uses. The approval of 24-
hour operation for the retail establishment at this location will
positively influence the present and future economic stability of the
property by further diversifying the products and services offered
within the store and area in general.
4. That the proposed use will comply with the regulations and
conditions specified in Chapter 41 for such use.
The proposed use will be in compliance with all applicable standards
in Chapter 41 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code regarding
establishments that operate on a 24-hour basis. Conditions of
approval have been added to ensure the project remains in
compliance with all applicable codes and regulations related to 24-
hour operation to ensure that the use does not impact neighboring
properties or create an attractive nuisance.
1-7
