City of Santa Ana <br />consider if solar powered lighting options may <br />be advisable and recommend an option for the <br />City's consideration for this lighting alternative. <br />As required, coordination with SCE will also be <br />provided by Tetra Tech. <br />LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION <br />DESIGN <br />Tetra Tech will prepare the landscaping and <br />irrigation design PS&Es prioritized with drought <br />tolerant and native species of planting options. <br />Plant, tree, and wall vine selection will be based <br />with a sense of plant durability and aesthetic <br />appropriateness for the project pathway and to <br />withstand regular use in the area from the public. <br />TRAFFIC SIGN, STRIPING & DETOUR <br />DESIGN <br />Tetra Tech will prepare PS&E's to Incorporate the <br />traffic signage, striping and pedestrian/bicycle <br />detour signage as appropriate for this active <br />transportation pathway use. This work will be in <br />compliance with the CA MUTCD and ensure safety <br />and appropriate durability of signs and markings <br />with the expectation of regular use by the public. <br />PERMITS 1. <br />The recommended design to retain runoff on-site <br />discussed in the Approach Section will alleviate <br />the need for an extensive permitting and potential <br />environmental Impacts. If the recommended <br />design approach is granted approval from the City, <br />Tetra Tech will coordinate with Region 8 of the <br />Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), <br />US Army Corps of Engineers, the Orange County <br />Flood Control District (OCFCD), and the California <br />Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) to ensure <br />that all agencies don't require any specific permits. <br />Optional: If the project requires a storm drain <br />improvement to extend into Santiago Creek, Tetra <br />Tech will coordinate and apply for all applicable <br />permits including US Army Corps of Engineers <br />Section 404 and 408 (if applicable) Clean Water Act <br />(CWA) permit application, California Department <br />of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) 1602 application (If <br />26 DESIGN SERVICES RFP NO.: 18-042 <br />applicable), NPDES M84 permit, OCFCD Discharge <br />Permit (If applicable), and Regional Water Quality <br />Control Board Region 8 CWA Section 401 Water <br />Quality Standards Certification. <br />Regardless of the drainage approach, Permit <br />compliance will Include Encroachment Permits <br />with Metrolink (SCRRA), CPUC, and the County. <br />Right -of -Entry permits may also likely be required <br />and Tetra Tech will advise if any other permits are <br />necessary, <br />R QUALITY MANA <br />(REMOVED FROM <br />If the Wiected design triggers the nee ora <br />WOMP, etra Tech will coordinate w the City for <br />the Low I act Development (LID requirements on <br />the project a d to prepare a pro t specific Water <br />Quality Manag ant Plan (W MP) Inclusive of <br />percolation and itration It results. The <br />propo I will Include their pros/cons, d ability, <br />infiltr tion capability, walkability, ride-abi <br />(fo Icyclists), ADA compliance, maintena qe <br />r ouirements, and cost differentials. <br />STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS <br />Structural calculations and diagrams for all <br />structural related components will be provided <br />for during the final design. Structural and wail <br />calculations will be checked/confirmed, signed, <br />and stamped by our lead structural Engineer who <br />is a Registered Civil Engineer duly licensed by the <br />State of California and not involved with the original <br />design.
