Completed Madison Residential Street Improvement. <br />• Completed Roosevelt Walker Community Center. <br />Economic <br />Development <br />. Offered Small Business Incentive Grants. <br />Public Services <br />. Funded 16 programs and served 3,734 persons. <br />• Completed construction of a 70 unit affordable housing project at <br />the Depot at Santiago, of which 11 units are HOME -assisted units. <br />• Rehabilitated one single family unit and two historic homes. <br />Completed the Orchard permanent supportive housing project with <br />Housing <br />investments of HOME funds and 71 project -based vouchers. This <br />project transformed a blighted motel into housing with wrap-around <br />supportive services for chronically homeless individuals. <br />• Completed the last phase of the Habitat for Humanity scattered <br />single-family home project. <br />• Code Enforcement staff responded to 4,857 complaints covering <br />3,437 residential properties of which 1,643 were single family <br />residences and 1,794 were multi -family residences within the <br />CDBG eligible deteriorating and deteriorated areas. <br />Code Enforcement <br />. Code Enforcement staff issued 134 Notices of Violation, 183 Notice <br />and Orders, and 5,466 Administrative Citations involving residential <br />housing. As a result of these efforts, property owners have made <br />approximately $2,599,522.50 in repairs and upgrades <br />encompassing 451 properties. <br />• Provided assistance to 1,862 persons through Street Outreach, <br />Homeless Services <br />Homeless Prevention, Rapid Re -housing or Shelter including 224 <br />Veterans, and 193 children. <br />HUD regulations require that the CAPER be available for a 15 -day public review and comment <br />period prior to its submittal. On August 7, 2018, a public notice was published in the Orange <br />County Register, La Opinion, and Nguoi Viet News and again on September 1, 2018 in the <br />Orange County Register, indicating that the draft report would be available for review and public <br />comment beginning August 22 through September 18, 2018. The draft CAPER was also <br />available for public review on the City's website. All comments received in written form and at the <br />above-mentioned public hearing will be included in the final document submitted to HUD, which is <br />due no later than September 28, 2018. Due to the timeframe for submission, the final document <br />may include minor revisions, pending final activity and expenditure reports. <br />75D-2 <br />
