He has designed a comprehensive range of <br />mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and medical gas <br />systems for aviation, institutional, educational, commercial, healthcare, <br />government (federal and state), military, and municipal facilities. His experience <br />also includes preliminary design, construction documentation, calculations, <br />equipment document review and punch list observations. <br />Mr. Portilla's responsibilities include research and application of building, <br />mechanical, plumbing and fire protection codes to develop design criteria, scope <br />and construction documentation. Additionally, he is responsible for plumbing <br />systems design and testing, water and utility waste prevention and energy <br />management. <br />Mr. Portilla is also experienced in facility surveys, construction cost estimating, <br />fire protection system design, technical evaluations, energy audits, and feasibility <br />studies for various energy conservation and alternative energy systems.
