Mayor Pulido had opened and Closed the Hearing on August 21, 2018 City <br />Council meeting and continued matter by a vote of 6-0 (Sarmiento absent). <br />Council discussion ensued. <br />Councilmember Benavides, request staff to clarify possibility to bifurcate <br />recommended action and return to council after it's been considered at the <br />council committee level. <br />Executive Director of Planning and Building, Mihn Thai, noted item may be <br />bifurcated, but project should be reviewed as a whole in order to turn item <br />around in a short time frame. <br />Councilmember Sarmiento, noted concern with having the right balance <br />between commercial and residential, ensuing economic impact, and need <br />for additional time to review item. <br />Councilmember Benavides left dais at 8:04 pm. <br />Councilmember Villegas motioned to continue item two week, seconded by <br />Councilmember Tinajero. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Martinez, unsupportive of item.
