Mayor Pro Tem Martinez, expressed concern over lack of community <br />participation, map re -boundary process will have major implications, and <br />process has been inappropriate. <br />Councilmember Villegas, echoed statements made by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Martinez. Expressed concern over the map re -boundary process and action <br />taken before the November election and upcoming census. <br />Councilmember Tinajero, requested confirmation of any communication <br />between councilmembers and consultant. Noted process is very political, <br />consultant has provided reports, reliance of data provided by consultant to <br />make the best possible decision. <br />Paul Mitchell, City consultant, indicated there has been no contact with <br />councilmembers. <br />Mayor Pulido closed the second Public Hearing that explained the re - <br />boundary process, reviewed the criteria used to modify Ward <br />boundaries, and allowed residents to submit their ideas for potential <br />"communities of interest" to consider in the new boundaries. <br />75B.
