Los Angeles. HAI scope of services_
consisted of: 1) Review existing
geotechnical and environmental
data, 2) Drill and sample within
the top 80 feet of subsurface
materials attwo locations, 3)
Screen collected soil samples
for volatile organic compounds
(VOC)s, 4) Perform geotechnical,
environmental, and analytical
laboratory testing, 5) Provide
seismic and foundation design
parameters, and 6) Prepare
a written report presenting
our findings, conclusions and
recommendations pertaining
to the geotechnical and
environmental conditions of the
site subsurface soils. Provided
seismic and foundation design
recommendations for the
proposed seismic retrofit of the
bridge. Our recommendations State Street Bridge Widening,
were based on previous work g g,
performed by CH2M and Los Angeles, CA, Project
supplemental geotechnical Manager responsible for
exploration performed by HAi in performing Phase II Environmental
2012.Our scope of work included Site Assessment study on the
evaluation of lateral and axial subsurface soil conditions at
capacities and recommendations State Street Bridge over SORRA
for excavation and construction of and Busway for environmental
CIDH piles as well as design and evaluation, and characterizing
construction recommendations subsurface soil conditions. HAI Is
for pile caps, abutments wells, currently providing environmental
dewateringand environmental site Investigation, and laboratory
monitoring, roadway testing services for the project,
Improvements, new cantilever The services include performing
retaining walls for abutment field Investigation consisting of
approaches, and trenching soil and groundwater sampling,
and temporary shoring.
