Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2017-58 and <br />Historic Register Categorization No. 2017-57 (Exhibit 1). <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to <br />execute the attached Mills Act agreement with Kelly B. Peart and Joanne M. Knudsen -Peart, <br />subject to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney (Exhibit <br />2). <br />Request of Applicant <br />Kelly B. Peart and Joanne M. Knudsen -Peart are requesting approval to designate an existing <br />residence located at 2038 North Ross Street to the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties, <br />as well as approval to execute a Mills Act agreement with the City of Santa Ana. <br />Project Location and Site Description <br />The subject property is located on the west side of North Ross Street in the Floral Park <br />neighborhood. The site consists of a 2,734 square foot, Neoclassical Style residence and <br />detached garage on a 9,831 -square -foot residential lot (Exhibit 3). <br />Analysis of the Issues <br />Historical Listing <br />In March 1999, the City Council approved Ordinance No. NS -2363 establishing the Historic <br />Resources Commission and the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties. The Historic <br />Resources Commission may, by resolution and at a noticed public hearing, designate as a <br />historical property any building or part thereof, object, structure, or site having importance to the <br />history or architecture of the city in accordance with the criteria set forth in Section 30-2 of the <br />EXHIBIT B8 <br />25A-181 <br />
