Award Purchase Order for Chevrolet Bolts <br />October 16, 2018 <br />Page 2 <br />Outreach Efforts <br />The Purchasing Division determined utilizing the Climate Mayors Collaborative is in the City's <br />best interest as it allows a more efficient mechanism that is required to take delivery of new <br />equipment, eliminating the need to solicit for items that already include a reduced price. National <br />Joint Powers Authority (NJPA) contracts have been competitively solicited nationwide and <br />awarded with price as the main factor therefore ensuring cost competitiveness of the purchase. In <br />addition, local automobile franchisees have been made, via various means of communication, <br />and thus are aware of the City's use of Cooperative agreements of which they have fair <br />opportunity to bid on when advertised. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Strategic Plan Goal #6 — Community <br />Facilities & Infrastructure, Objective #2 (address deferred maintenance on City buildings and <br />equipment). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds in the amount of $211,471 are available in the FY 2018-19 Fleet Services Air Quality <br />Improvement account (03110101-66400). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Sergio Vidal vii (03ND <br />Acting Executive Director <br />Finance and Management Services Agency <br />CL/sm/sp <br />22A-2 <br />
