ARTICLE I <br />1.0 RECOGNITION <br />1.1 Pursuant to the provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act, Government Code <br />Section 3500, et sea., the City of Santa Ana (hereinafter called the "City") has <br />recognized the Santa Ana City Employees Chapter 1939/Service Employees <br />International Union Local 721 (hereinafter. called the "Union") as the recognized <br />representative of the bargaining unit which includes Part Time Civil Service <br />personnel employed by the City of Santa Ana in classifications listed in <br />Exhibit "A". <br />1.2 During the term of this Agreement, no substantive issue of representation shall be <br />raised contrary to this recognition except as provided in Resolution No. 81-75, the <br />Employer -Employee Relations Resolution of the City of Santa Ana. <br />
