Also address integrity) <br /> <br />The Ridley C. Smith House is architecturally significant as a characteristic example of the Neoclassical style. This house was <br />originally constructed in 1927, and was valued at approximately $7,000, according to the original building permit. The first <br />recorded occupants are Ridley C. and Jessie M. Smith. Born in Texas, Ridley C. Smith attended grammar school in Santa <br />Ana, graduated from Santa Ana High School and graduated from the University of Southern California (1922) from the <br />College of Law. The same year he was admitted to The State Bar of California. In 1925, Ridley C. Smith returned to Santa <br />Ana to manage a large wholesale dairy products plant, which he managed for several years.
