STREETSCAPE DESIGN NARRATIVE: <br />STREETSCAPE: <br />THE DESIGN INTENT IS TO CREATE A STREETSCAPE WITH TREE CANOPIES THAT PULLS FROM <br />THE ZOO FLORA TO CREATE A SENSE OF COHESION AND NOT A SEPARATION AS YOUR ARRIVE <br />FROM FIRST STREET. IN AN EFFORT TO MITIGATE CAR SPEED AND PROVIDE A TREE LINED <br />STREETSCAPE, BULBOUTS IN THE CURBS ARE PROVIDED THE FULL LENGTH OF ELK LANE. <br />CROSS GUTTERS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET HAVE BEEN PROVIDED TO DELINEATED THE <br />DRIVE AISLE. PARALLEL PARKING WILL BE PROVIDED BETWEEN TREE BULBOUTS. <br />SIDEWALK: <br />AN ANGULAR WALK DESIGN WHICH WILL ALLOW MEANDERING WHILE ALSO ALLOWING A <br />DIRECT PATH OF TRAVEL, IF DESIRED. THE ANGULAR WALK WILL ALLOW ACCESS TO THE <br />PARKED CARS AND PROVIDE LANDSCAPE AT THE STREETSCAPE EDGE.
