metro east mixed-use overlay zone 16 <br />5.Gallery <br />A gallery is frontage wherein <br />the façade is aligned close <br />to the frontage line with an <br />attached cantilevered shed or a <br />lightweight colonnade which <br />may overlap front open <br />space areas. This type is <br />convenient for retail use. The <br />gallery shall be no less than 10 <br />feet wide and may overlap <br />adjacent open space areas <br />up to within 5 feet of the <br />parkway or sidewalk area. <br />4.Shop Front <br />A shop front is frontage wherein the façade is aligned close to the frontage <br />line with the building entrance at sidewalk grade. This frontage is <br />conventional for retail use. It has substantial non-reflective glazing at <br />the sidewalk level and should include awnings at main entrances that <br />may overlap the sidewalk consistent with the City’s overhead sidewalk <br />encroachment provisions. <br />Shopfront <br />Gallery <br />1-63
