EXHIBIT 2 <br />Mercy House Orange County Program Director of Emergency Shelter Programs, Services and Outreach <br />Job Description <br />Introduction: O.C. Program Director of Emergency Shelter Programs, Services, and Outreach is <br />responsible for the performance of all Emergency Shelter Program, Services and Outreach Activities in <br />Orange County. Primary responsibilities include program management, program development, and <br />community relations. This includes supervising the Emergency Shelter Program Manager, This position <br />requires a flexible schedule especially during the winter months (weekend, morning, evening and <br />holiday shifts). This position may at times require transportation of supplies to shelter locations. The <br />O.C. Program Directors report directly to the Associate Director. <br />Qualifications: Associate's Degree and at least 2 years of direct life experience working with long-term <br />homeless, low income, and d iverse populations and have a working knowledge of mental health and <br />addiction issues. Possess a high level of tolerance and understanding for individuals who present for <br />services with urgent multiple case management and health needs. Ability to perform crisis intervention <br />as needed; clearly communicate information and instructions verbally and in written form; maintain a <br />positive, professional and safe environment while on duty; and establish and maintain effective working <br />relationships with others. Valid CA drivers license, proof of insurance and reliable vehicle is required. <br />Program Management and Development <br />Goal: Oversee the development and implementation of all program services forour Emergency Shelter <br />Program to ensure quality delivery of services. <br />• Maintain performance of existing shelter services <br />• Oversee the scheduling and coordination of all Shelter Sites <br />• Ensure strong communication between Staff and Partner agencies <br />• Oversee coordination of shelter activities and distribution of services <br />• Provide monthly reports to the Associate Director <br />• Develop new partnerships with other agencies in order to enhance our current services <br />• Oversee implementation of new services <br />• Implement new services <br />• Manage Budget <br />• Oversee Purchases, Vendor Bids and MOU's <br />Staff Management <br />Goal: Manage Identified Staff facilitating optimal performance. <br />• Manage and supervise Shelter and Services Program Managers <br />• Assist in various aspects of staffs duties <br />• Provide support and guidance when necessary <br />• Provide support for crisis/conflict intervention <br />• Coordinate trainings and orientations when needed <br />• Conduct Meetings monthly <br />• Meet with identified staff individually when necessary <br />• Review and evaluate performances <br />• Conduct midyear and annual review <br />Outreach Services ' <br />Goal: Provide leadership in critical support in the development and implementation of Outreach Services <br />13 <br />20A-45 <br />
