Direct staff to amend the Seven -Year Capital Improvement Program to incorporate the new <br />Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program projects. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) issued a call for projects under the Measure <br />M2 Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019/20. <br />Funding in the amount of $32 million will be awarded on a countywide competitive basis for two <br />programs: (a) Regional Capacity and (b) Traffic Signal Synchronization. Adoption of the <br />recommended resolution and amending the Seven -Year Capital Improvement Program is a <br />qualifying requirement for grant eligibility. <br />The City will be submitting two applications totaling $1,170,000 in grant fund requests for the <br />Regional Capacity program, which requires a match rate commitment of 25 percent. Existing and <br />future local funding sources, including but not limited to Transportation System Improvement Area <br />Fund (TSIA) and Gas Tax Fund, will be used to provide the required matching funds for the <br />recommended projects.
