FIRST AMENDMENT TO EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND <br />THE SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARI'1VIENT <br />(24 CFR Parts 91 and 576) <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING is entered into this day of December, 2018, by and <br />between the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City'), <br />and the Santa -Ana -Police Department ("Subrecipient'D. <br />RECITALS <br />A. On July 1, 2018, the City entered into an Emergency Solutions Grant Memorandum of <br />Understanding #A-2018-133-06 with the Santa Ana Police Department to provide Emergency <br />Funds from the United States Department of Housing and urban Development (HUD) to be <br />used in the operation of an emergency solution program for the homeless or at risk of <br />homelessness of the City of Santa Ana ("said Agreement"). <br />B. In an effort to provide additional outreach, engagement and support for the individuals entering <br />and exiting the Link Emergency Homeless Shelter, $31,000.00 will be reallocated to the Santa <br />Ana Police Department HEART program. <br />C. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties desire to amend to <br />increase funds to the Subrecipient, which need to be spent by June 30, 2019. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the <br />terms and conditions of said Agreement, except as herein modified; the parties agree as follows: <br />1. Paragraph 5, shall be amended to increase funding to Subrecipient by-_$31,000.)0=in <br />additional Data Collection and Outreach Services. The new total sum shall not exceed <br />$78,627.00 in grant funding. <br />2. Section I, subsection A, shall be amended to add the specific tasks required of the new funds <br />to provide additional outreach, engagement and support for the individuals entering and <br />exiting the Link Emergency Homeless Shelter. <br />3. Section III, shall be amended to increase funding to Subrecipient by $31,000.00, for a total <br />sum not to exceed $78,627.00. Subrecipient's budget for these new funds is attached hereto <br />as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference. <br />4. Except as hereinabove modified, the terms and conditions of said Agreement remain unchanged <br />and in full force and effect. <br />25F-3 <br />
