REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />A III C941•111�[911111111Jd=1 =11111l.[Cl B7_11114 <br />DECEMBER 18, 2018 <br />TITLE: <br />APPROVE A MONTH-TO-MONTH <br />AGREEMENT EXTENSION WITH TSCM <br />CORPORATION FOR PRESSURE WASHING <br />SERVICES AT THE SANTA ANA REGIONAL <br />TRANSPORTATION CENTER <br />(STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 6, 1, C) <br />CITY kANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />❑ Ordinance on 151 Reading <br />❑ Ordinance on 20d Reading <br />❑ Implementing Resolution <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement extension with <br />TSCM Corporation to provide power washing and sweeping services at the Santa Ana Regional <br />Transportation Center on a month-to-month automatic extension basis, effective January 1, 2019, <br />in an amount not to exceed $2,975 per month for up to six months, subject to nonsubstantive <br />changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center (SARTC) is a transit hub that offers Amtrak, <br />Metrolink, Orange County Transit Authority, and other bus and taxi services, with nearly 3,000 <br />commuters passing through each day. The City maintains this facility for the traveling public, <br />SARTC visitors, and tenants. <br />On December 16, 2014, the City Council approved the execution of a two-year agreement with <br />TSCM with two one-year renewal options to provide power washing and sweeping services at <br />SARTC. The term of the agreement commenced on January 1, 2015, and will expire on <br />December 31, 2018. To ensure the continued services, staff recommends extending the current <br />agreement terms on a month-to-month basis while staff evaluates the level of service needed, <br />given current utilization of the facility, and to allow for a new Request for Proposals (RFP) to be <br />issued. Staff anticipates releasing an RFP for power washing and sweeping services in early <br />January 2019. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 - Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for all City <br />25L-1 <br />
