City of Santa Ana <br />SECTION 1 <br />GENERAL INFORMATION <br />1.1 BACKGROUND <br />The City of Santa Ana is initiating a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Fire/EMS <br />Emergency Ambulance Transportation and Related services for up to a five-year (5) <br />contract period with an option for one (1) three (3) year extension and one (1) two (2) <br />year extension commencing on or after the contract effective date. In the City, the <br />OCFA operates out of ten city -owned fire stations located at 2301 Old Grande Street <br />North (Station No.70), 1029 West 17th Street, (Station No.71), 1668 East 4th Street <br />(Station No. 72), 419 South Franklin Street (Station No.73), 1427 South Broadway <br />(Station No.74), 120 West Walnut (Station No.75), 950 West MacArthur (Station No.76), <br />2317 South Greenville (Station No.77), 501 North Newhope (Station No.78), and 1320 <br />East Warner (Station No.79). <br />2017 Response Volume: <br />Calendar Year <br />2017 <br />Total Incidents <br />26,521 <br />EMS Incidents <br />21,239 <br />The City of Santa Ana ("City") has a long and proud history of providing emergency <br />medical care for the citizens of Santa Ana and its visitors. For many years the City of <br />Santa Ana has provided its own transportation services. Effective April 20, 2012 the <br />City of Santa Ana contracted with the Orange County Fire Authority ("OCFA") for fire <br />and emergency medical services.
