C. The Contractor shall maintain completed operations coverage <br />with a carrier acceptable to the State through the expiration of <br />the patent deficiency in construction statute of repose set forth <br />in Code of Civil Procedure Section 337.1. <br />WORKERS' COMPENSATION AND EMPLOYERS' LIABILITY <br />INSURANCE <br />In accordance with Labor Code Section 1860, the Contractor shall <br />secure the payment of worker's compensation in accordance with <br />Labor Code Section 3700. <br />2. In accordance with Labor Code Section 1861, the Contractor shall <br />submit to the Department the following certification before <br />performing the work: <br />A. I am aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the Labor <br />Code which require every employer to be insured against <br />liability for workers' compensation or to undertake <br />self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of that code, <br />and I will comply with such provisions before commencing the <br />performance of the work of this contract. <br />3. Contract execution constitutes certification submittal. <br />4. The Contractor shall provide Employer's Liability Insurance in <br />amounts not less than: <br />A. $1,000,000 for each accident for bodily injury by accident <br />B. $1,000,000 policy limit for bodily injury by disease <br />C. $1,000,000 for each employee for bodily injury by disease <br />5. If there is an exposure of injury to the Contractor's employees under <br />the U.S. Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, <br />the Jones Act, or under laws, regulations, or statutes applicable to <br />maritime employees, coverage shall be included for such injuries or <br />claims. <br />e. GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE <br />The Contractor shall carry General Liability and Umbrella or Excess <br />Liability Insurance covering all operations by or on behalf of the <br />Contractor providing insurance for bodily injury liability and property <br />damage liability for the following limits and including coverage for: <br />25G-42 <br />
