Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana authorizing the City Manager <br />to execute agreements with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration <br />("CDTFA") for implementation of a local Transactions and Use Tax (Exhibit 1). <br />3. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute an Agreement for Preparation <br />to Administer and Operate District's Transactions and Use Tax Ordinance (Local Charge <br />Agreement with the CDTFA), in an amount not to exceed $175,000, commencing February 1, <br />2019, subject to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney <br />(Exhibit 2). <br />4. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute an Agreement for State <br />Administration of District Transactions and Use Taxes with the CDTFA to perform functions <br />incidental to the administration and collection of local transactions and use taxes, subject to <br />non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. The agreement to <br />commence April 1, 2019, and continue until December 31, 2039 (for six months following the <br />expiration date of the City Ordinance, March 31, 2039), and thereafter to renew automatically <br />from year-to-year until CDTFA completes all work necessary to the administration of the City <br />55B-1 <br />
