ARTICLE IR <br />9.0 VACATION <br />9.1 Purpose. It is the policy of the City to grant employees vacation leave in order to provide <br />them with a break in their regular work schedule and this purpose will be used as a guide <br />in the administration of the provisions of this Article. <br />9.2 Vacation. <br />A. Effective January 1, 2016, the regular and longevity vacation accruals of bargaining <br />unit members sball be combined into one single vacation bank. The accrual rates will <br />remain the same. However, after January 1, 2016 there will no longer be a reference <br />to longevity vacation. Longevity vacation earned but not advanced in 2015 will be <br />credited to the employee's vacation bank effective January 1, 2016.
