Unfortunately, I am unable to attend today's city council <br />meeting and so I am writing this email to express my support for two agenda items. <br />As the issue of homelessness has risen and become a major issue in our community, I am thankful of the <br />different ways that the Santa Ana council members have taken the lead in addressing homelessness through <br />research and evidence -based policies and positions. I support housing first policies for our chronically homeless <br />population, so I was very pleased with the rise of permanent supportive housing in our community, as well as <br />the recent emergency shelter. <br />The council truly is becoming a leader in our county for creating, developing, and building more permanent <br />supportive housing units in our community. Therefore, I strongly urge you approve the awards for the <br />developments proposed in today's agenda: <br />- Item 80A on City Council, Item 4 Housing Authority Agenda <br />- Housing Authority Agenda Item 3 <br />I believe that these two developments will allow Santa Ana to continue to be a leader for our county on matters <br />relating to homelessness, and it is vital that we serve this population in the community so that we can alleviate <br />poverty and end homelessness. <br />Thank you so much for listening! <br />Best, <br />Davis <br />
