Contract Agreement Statement <br />Hennessey & Hennessey LLC is able to comply with all provisions as contained in Attachment 2 in <br />the appendix to the City of Santa Ana's Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 18-082. <br />c. Firm and Team Experience <br />Hennessey & Hennessey LLC (Hennessey & Hennessey) is a real estate appraisal firm in Orange <br />County, with an office in the City of Tustin. The firm provides real estate appraisal and consulting <br />services for government agencies and private entities throughout California. Founded In 1979 as <br />an Independent appraisal firm, Hennessey & Hennessey transitioned from an association of real <br />estate appraisers to a California Limited Liability Company in 1999. Currently, there is a staff of <br />four. <br />Hennessey & Hennessey is an Underutilized Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (UDBE) certified <br />by the California Unified Certification Program (CUCP). <br />For more than 30 years, Hennessey & Hennessey's primary emphasis has been appraisal for <br />eminent domain purposes for public agencies, specializing in appraising properties for negotiated <br />acquisitions and litigation. Hennessey & Hennessey has a complete understanding of the <br />processes and complexities involved in eminent domain law. This ensures that our reports meet <br />the requirements of the law and the guidelines of the review agency, and provide a useful tool with <br />comprehensive information for the acquisition agent, particularly in cases of partial acquisitions. <br />The firm's work Includes appraising all types of real property, including commercial, retail, office, <br />mixed use, industrial, multi -family and single-family residential, agricultural and special use <br />properties, and vacant land. Hennessey & Hennessey also produces narrative appraisals for full <br />and partial acquisitions of vacant and improved parcels along freeway, railroad, flood control and <br />easement corridors. Many of the firm's appraisals are created for multiple -parcel right of way <br />projects. <br />Hennessey & Hennessey has completed projects in accordance with the State of California, <br />Department of Transportation (Caltrans) standards for the City of Santa Ana and other agencies. <br />Additionally, Hennessey & Hennessey has appraised properties for budgetary estimates, market <br />studies, negotiations, estate planning, franchise fee negotiations, and litigation matters, and has <br />reviewed appraisals prepared by other firms for similar projects. Hennessey & Hennessey has <br />assisted In the preparation of right of way cost estimates for Caltrans-required Project Study <br />Reports (PSRs) and has provided expert testimony in court cases, <br />The Hennessey & Hennessey staff actively participates in professional associations and regularly <br />attends educational classes and seminars to remain current with the ongoing changes in the right <br />of way and appraisal fields. This enables the firm to consistently provide the technical expertise <br />required by clients. The firm always strives to honor lime commitments to meet the needs of all <br />clients. <br />Hennessey & Hennessey has completed hundreds of full take and part take right of way appraisal <br />assignments for governmental agencies and private entities. These assignments have included <br />complex partial and full takes from commercial, industrial, agricultural, residential, and special <br />purpose properties, and valuations of temporary construction easements and permanent <br />easements for various purposes.
