The community members that brought this up are <br />supporters of making their streets safer, but the recent influx of money into the city, especially <br />in the downtown area, has also led to gentrification and displacement of long-time businesses. <br />We urge with the approval of this plan that the city work to create equitable solutions that ease <br />these anxieties and create policies that bring in this investment but assist in keeping residents <br />that currently live here as their residents in the future, especially low-income. <br />The Central Santa Ana Complete Streets Plan provides is a result of engaged residents and has <br />led to them taking ownership over the City's pedestrian and bicycle safety efforts.
