Neighborhood safety and access <br />2. Community and family-oriented <br />3. Culture and learning <br />4. Renovate and renew <br />5. Places to play and gather <br />The second activity was a dot polling exercise, where participants <br />were given 15 sticker dots and asked to place each dot on their <br />top-rated programs among 8 different board topics. <br />The top programs resulted in: <br />1. <br />Learn <br />2. <br />Play <br />3. <br />Engage <br />4. <br />Entertain <br />5. <br />Gather <br />gardens open space amphitheater community cenl <br />dinery <br />dining science/learning <br />the city <br />theme park the mountains <br />culture/museum <br />the desert the beach - <br />tshing library/bookstore <br />movie theatre <br />trails/recreation/exercise equipment <br />Example Boards: <br />Community Values Statement <br />The Cities of Garden Grove and Santa Ana value a vibrant, multi -use <br />gathering place—a complete community that is family-oriented, <br />safe and publicly accessible. <br />A new Willowick will foster the community's cultural heritage; <br />provide educational and economic opportunities that encourage <br />community interaction; and allow a multitude of uses that bring <br />families together for generations to come. <br />._. t <br />i.,_71 <br />
