KOA <br />RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE WITH REFERENCES <br />CITY OF SAN CLEMENTE EL CAMINO REAL <br />SAN CLEMENTE, CA <br />The City obtained a grant to implement a Class I, 0.9-mile bike lane/ <br />protected path along El Camino Real. The design components included <br />K-rail concrete barriers, restriping, sidewalk pavers, upgrades of the <br />existing wheel chair ramps, bike signals, and traffic signal modification. <br />The striped lanes offered an alternative to cyclists who preferred a freer, <br />higher -speed route versus the confined space of the barrier -protected <br />facility due to slower bicyclists, walkers with dogs and strollers, and <br />skateboarders.
