Mayor Pulido opened the Hearing. The following spoke on the matter: <br />• Lisa Flores, urged City Council to support item. <br />• Veronica Morales, addressed City Council to request support for item. <br />• Paul Morales, opined need to invest in community. <br />City Attorney Carvalho, recommend City Council to allow staff presentation to <br />proceed and provide opportunity for rebuttal by applicant. <br />Planning and Building Executive Director Minh Thai, provided City Council <br />procedural review, and presentation and analysis of development project with <br />staff recommendation. <br />Pamela Zepeto, on behalf of AC 2525 Main, provided City Council video <br />presentation of development project. <br />Continuation of public comments. The following spoke on the matter: <br />• Mariu Ramirez, supportive of development project. <br />• Phil Schaefer, Historic Resource Commissioner, opposed to development <br />project. <br />• Sal Tinajero, supportive of item. Opined developers has taken necessary <br />steps to mitigate issues and would benefit city. <br />• Monique Salazar, commented development project should be done in a <br />responsible manner. <br />• Lewis Woods, supportive of development project. Opined project would <br />benefit community. <br />• Beatriz Mendoza, expressed concern as to delays in addressing project by <br />Planning Commission. Expressed support for development project. <br />• Walkie Ray, founding Chairman of and on behalf of Discovery Cube, <br />addressed City Council to express Board's support for development project. <br />• Helen Martinez, supportive of development project. <br />• Mike Gonzalez, expressed support for development project. Opined <br />development project would benefit community. <br />• Mario Rodriguez, supportive of project. <br />• Ruben Garcia, supportive of item. <br />• Judy Amadore, urged City Council to support project. <br />• Julie Matsumoto, expressed support for project. <br />• Josof Sanchez, opined project will produce needed affordable housing. <br />• Yvette Estrada, supportive of project. <br />• Aaron Friedman, supportive of project. <br />• Anne Delgadillo, opposed to project.
