EXHIBIT 1 <br />Based on the scores above and the relative scoring of proposals competing for the same <br />land asset or source of affordable housing funds, the Review Panel is recommending the <br />following award for your organization to our Community Redevelopment and Housing <br />Commission and to the City Council / Housing Authority for final approval: <br />Developer: Jamboree Housing <br />Project Name: **"Budget Inn**" <br />Developer Request: <br />• $2 million <br />• 89 HUD-VASH PBVs <br />Award Recommendation: <br />• Project -Based Voucher Program (PBV): Eighty -Nine (89) HUD-VASH PBVs <br />• Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG): $1,687,047.00 <br />This recommendation is contingent upon final approval by the Community <br />For the next steps: <br />1) Please acknowledge your willingness to accept this award recommendation and <br />develop your project (by responding to this e-mail) including the additional <br />requirements listed below that will be incorporated into your final commitment <br />from the City / Housing Authority among various other terms: <br />a. Efforts must be exhausted to award the eighty-nine (89) HUD-VASH <br />Project -Based Vouchers to your project as an Existing Housing site in <br />compliance with the federal regulations for the Project -Based Voucher <br />Program at 24 CFR 983. Please coordinate with staff to schedule an <br />inspection of the units and the requirements to certify as an Existing <br />Housing site. <br />b. No less than 100% of the units in the project must be permanent <br />supportive housing for homeless veterans in compliance with the HUD- <br />VASH Program. If less Project -Based Vouchers are accepted for the <br />project, the remaining permanent supportive housing units must be for <br />homeless individuals and families referred from the Coordinated Entry <br />System who are residing in the City of Santa Ana based upon: <br />L Proof of strong ties to the community, to include current residency <br />of an immediate family member — mother, father, sibling, or <br />grandparent in the City of Santa Ana; <br />ii. Proof that the individual attended a K-12 school in Santa Ana; <br />iii. Proof that the individual resided on property zoned for residential <br />use in Santa Ana and the individual was on the lease and/or paid <br />utilities necessary for legal use of the property for residential <br />purposes; or <br />FOOTITME <br />
