Appropriation Adjustment — Equitable Sharing Funds <br />March 19, 2019 <br />Page 2 <br />Department typically uses equitable shared funds for law enforcement equipment and services, to <br />provide training, and to supplement overtime. Recently, the Police Department has used equitable <br />sharing funds to fund the implementation of the Department's integrated software system, the <br />body -worn camera program, PAAL Center programming, recruitment events, and Peer Support <br />Training. The Police Department anticipated using a significant percentage of this funding to fund <br />RVSP overtime expenses in direct support of the RNSP program. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal # 1 Community Safety, Objective #3 <br />(promote fiscal accountability to ensure financial responsibility at all levels of the organization). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The appropriation adjustment will recognize $1,224,850 in Equitable Sharing revenue accounts <br />(nos. 16614002 57410 and 16714002 57410) and appropriate same to Equitable Sharing <br />expenditure accounts (nos. 16614450 — various and 16714455 - various) for the following fiscal <br />years: <br />Davi�ntin � <br />Chief of Police <br />Santa Ana Police Department <br />FY 2018-19 $241,037 <br />FY 2019-20 $983,813 <br />Total $1,224,850 <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />/fid w°�,m <br />Kathryn Downs,PA(a.3� <br />Executive Director <br />Finance and Management Services Agency <br />20B-2 <br />
