Agreement with A&H Refrigeration, Inc. <br />March 19, 2019 <br />Page 2 <br />An evaluation committee consisting of representatives from the Santa Ana Building Maintenance <br />Division, Police Department Evidence Section, Police Department Central Distribution Center, <br />and Police Department Fiscal Section reviewed and rated the two proposals. The proposals <br />were evaluated according to Responsiveness to RFP (20%), Experience of Firm and Personnel <br />(40%), and Cost of Proposal (40%), as stated in the RFP. <br />The results of the RFP evaluation are as follows: <br />Vendor <br />Score <br />A&H Refrigeration, Inc. <br />377 <br />ACCO Engineered Systems <br />259 <br />400 point maximum <br />A&H Refrigeration, Inc. was the most responsive proposer with a score of 377 out of a possible <br />400 points. A&H Refrigeration is located in the City of Garden Grove and provides full HVAC <br />and refrigeration services for commercial and industrial applications. A&H Refrigeration has <br />more than 35 years of technical knowledge and experience, and has completed large <br />comparable projects for the Anaheim Police Department, the Garden Grove Police Department, <br />Torrance Memorial Hospital, and OC Fair. The work performed at Anaheim and Garden Grove <br />police departments was very similar to the scope of work covered in this proposed agreement for <br />the Santa Ana Police Department Evidence Section. Both Anaheim Police Department and <br />Garden Grove Police Department were satisfied with the services provided by A&H Refrigeration. <br />The total amount to be expended during the term of this Agreement shall not exceed $153,750. <br />The sum of this amount is comprised of the base amount of $128,750 and a contingency amount <br />of $25,000 for work assigned at the sole discretion of the City. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item assists the City in meeting Goal #1 Community Safety, Objective #3 (Promote <br />fiscal accountability to ensure financial responsibility at all levels of the organization), Strategy A <br />(Continuously evaluate and assess fiscal aspects of service delivery to ensure that the Police <br />Department provides programs and services efficiently and effectively.). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds in the amount of $153,750 are available in Police Special Revenue — Programs machinery <br />and equipment account (no.02414410 66400), and the Police Department the Police Department <br />Building and Facility machinery and equipment account (no. 01114403 66400), for the 2018-19 <br />fiscal year as follows: <br />25C-2 <br />
