CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2018-27 TO ALLOW AN AUTOMATED CAR WASH, <br />AND VARIANCE NO. 2018-13 TO ALLOW A DRIVEWAY WITHIN 150 FEET OF AN <br />INTERSECTION FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1703 EAST SEVENTEENTH <br />STREET IN THE ARTERIAL COMMERCIAL (C-5) ZONING DISTRICT. <br /> <br />Legal noticed published in the Orange County Reporter on February 1, 2019 and notices <br />mailed on February 1, 2019. <br /> <br />Matter continued from the February 11, 2019 meeting by a vote of 5:0 (Alderete and <br />Verino absent). <br /> <br />Case Planner Pezeshkpour provided a staff report which included a project description, <br />project background and project analysis. Commission discussion ensued regarding other <br />carwashes in the surrounding area, traffic impacts, proposed traffic signal, and ingress and <br />egress on 17th Street. <br /> <br />The applicant spoke in support of the matter. <br /> <br />Written communication in support of the matter was received by the following individuals: <br /> <br />• Michael Gadd <br />• Petition with 23 signatures was submitted by applicant. <br /> <br /> <br />Written communication in opposition of the matter was received by the following individuals: <br /> <br />• Phil Bacerra <br />• Mike Tardif <br />• Winston Covington <br /> <br />Chair McLoughlin opened the Public Hearing. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The below individuals support the project and cited the following reasons: <br />
