May 3, 2018
To whom it May concern:
My name is Maria Elena Quezada, I am originally from the state of Morelos, Mexico I have more
than 6 years of volunteering at the Cultural Center of Mexico and for 3 years I participated in el
Dia del Nino event, hosting a pinata making workshop, which is a great responsibility for me but
it is also a unique experience.
I arrived at the Cultural Center of Mexico to bring my granddaughter to the Center. This allowed
me and my family to link to the different projects of the Center.
The participation of my family in the Center's activities has allowed us to share quality time;
because at the same time that we participate we also share our traditions like el Dia del Nino.
On Dia del Nina I have the opportunity to show my skills and traditions by building pinatas that I
learned to make in our family business in Mexico and have the opportunity to transmit this
knowledge to the following generations..
1 am part of the Manos Unidas Creating Art Cooperative and through recycled paper we create
art, so it is a pleasure to share this knowledge with the children participating in el Dia del Nino
in Santa Ana for the last three years.
The encouragement of culture and art makes me feel very proud, since I share this experience
with children and their families, which allows us to be better people and be a better
community.
Sincerely, p '/
Maria Elena Quezada" 4
