EXHIBIT 2 <br />make progress toward economic independence and self-sufficiency. <br />(a) To receive 10 points, the PHA must have current policies or proposed strategies to <br />encourage enrollment of FUP-eligible families into an existing self-sufficiency program. <br />(b) To receive 10 points, the PHA must have current policies or proposed strategies to <br />encourage enrollment of FUP-eligible youth into an existing self-sufficiency program. <br />A cumulative maximum of 20 points will be awarded under this category. <br />Documentation. To receive points, the PHA applying for points under this category shall <br />provide: (a) A narrative (of no more than 5 pages) or (b) the section referencing these current <br />policies of its most recent FSS Action Plan/policy document of a similar program promoting <br />self-sufficiency. <br />PHAs submitting a narrative. The narrative must describe: (a) the PHA's proposed strategies; <br />(b) whether these strategies will be adopted in a HUD Family Self -Sufficiency program or <br />similar program promoting self-sufficiency; and (c) the time line for adopting the strategies if <br />awarded vouchers under this NOFA. <br />PHAs awarded vouchers under this NOFA that received points under this section for proposed <br />HUD Family Self Sufficiency program strategies that have not been incorporated in the PHA's <br />FSS Action Plan, must submit revisions of the FSS Action Plan to FUPvouchers@hud.gov, <br />FSS@hud.gov and their local HUD Field Office within three months of award announcement. <br />Failure to comply with this requirement may result in the revocation of the voucher award. <br />PHAs awarded vouchers under this NOFA that received points under this section for a <br />proposed similar program promoting self-sufficiency strategies that have not been <br />incorporated in the PHA's written policies or administrative plan for administering <br />the program must adopt these policies within three months of award announcement. <br />Failure to comply with this requirement may result in the revocation of the voucher <br />award. <br />PHAs administering a HUD Family Self -Sufficiency program. Each PHA that administers a <br />HUD Family Self -Sufficiency program, must have a HUD approved FSS Action Plan with the <br />PHA's local HUD Field Office, prior to this NOFA's application deadline if applying for points <br />under this section. PHAs awarded vouchers under this NOFA that received points under this <br />section for enacted HUD Family Self -Sufficiency program strategies must only include the <br />relevant section(s) of the FSS Action Plan describing policies for encouraging enrollment of <br />FUP-eligible families and FUP-eligible youth. <br />PHAs administering a similar program promoting self-sufficiency. PHAs awarded <br />vouchers under this NOFA that received points under this section for enacted a similar program <br />promoting self-sufficiency must provide a copy of the section of its most recent policy <br />documents or administrative plan which refers to the policies and procedures for the local <br />operation of its program. Applicants must only submit the section of its policy document or <br />administrative plan that describes the PHA's self-sufficiency program and outreach <br />efforts, not the entire policy document or administrative plan. <br />FUP families and FUP youth enrolled in self-suffiency program Maximum Points: 10 <br />33 of 45 <br />3-45 <br />
