9. Driver Permit <br />"Driver Permit" means a valid permit issued by OCTAP authorizing a person to <br />drive or control the movements of a Taxicab. <br />10. OCTA <br />"OCTA" means the Orange County Transportation Authority. <br />ifil�#Zl31_1� <br />"OCTAP" means the Orange County Taxi Administration Program. <br />12. Permittee <br />"Permittee" means a Company that holds a valid OCTAP Company Permit. <br />13. Taxicab <br />"Taxicab" means a vehicle capable of carrying not more than eight persons, <br />excluding the driver, and used to carry passengers for hire. The term shall exclude a <br />vehicle operating as a Charter Party Carrier licensed as such by any state agency, <br />including the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), or any other vehicle <br />operating under the authority of any state agency, including the CPUC. <br />14. Taxicab Permit <br />. - -"Taxicab Permit" means a valid permit issued by OCTAP, authorizing a particular <br />vehicle to be operated as a Taxicab. <br />15. Transportation Agreements <br />"Transportation Agreements" means any separate agreement that an Agency has <br />established with an OCTAP Permittee for operation within its jurisdiction. <br />AGENCY AND OCTA PARTICIPATION <br />Agency Responsibilities. <br />Each Agency shall: <br />o Participate as a member of OCTAP. <br />o Appoint its City Manager, Executive Officer, or their designee, to participate <br />as a member of the OCTAP Steering Committee. <br />Page 5 of 32 <br />55A-12 <br />
