The certificate states that this building was designed to <br />meet the 1976 or subsequent editions of the Uniform Building Code and does not have any one of <br />the enumerated characteristics or conditions listed in the cerdflcata. <br />The building has the condition of, <br />Welded steel moment frames (WSMF) that constitute the primary seismic force -resisting <br />system for the building, and <br />the structure was designed to code requirements preceding those of the 1997 edition of <br />the Uniform Building Cafe, <br />However, the building has not: <br />• experienced an earthquake of sufficient magnitude and site peak ground motions that <br />Inspection Is required when any of Hie conditions of Section 3.2 of FEMA 352Indicate an <br />Investigation of beam -column connections Is warranted <br />The certificate does not require any analysis of the building or any comparison to the latest Building <br />Cade. Any soft story, discontinuity or irregularity that may be present In the buliding may affect the <br />performance of the building In the event of a large earthquake, <br />Our professional services have been performed with the intent to meet the degree of care and sklli <br />ordinarily exercised by reputable structural engineers practicing In this or similar localities.
