<br />At its regular meeting on September 20, 2018 the Workforce Development Board recommended <br /> <br />that the City Council and Housing Authority approve the recommended actions by a vote of 12:1 <br />(Baetz abstained and Korthuis, Luviano, Perez, Ruiz and Sanchez absent). <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION: <br /> <br />1. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute a First <br />Amended and Restated Phase II Memorandum of Understanding with the Santa <br />Ana Workforce Development Board and the City of Santa Ana - WORK Center, <br />State of California Employment Development Department, County of Orange <br />Social Services Agency, SER – Jobs for Progress, Inc., State of California <br />Department of Rehabilitation, Santa Ana Housing Authority which outlines the <br />sharing of resources and expenses associated with the operations of a <br />comprehensive one stop center for a term beginning May 7, 2019 to June 30, 2022 <br />and reimbursement from the partners in the estimated amount of $1,280,530, <br />subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City <br />Attorney (AGMT. No. 2019-XXX). <br /> <br />2. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute non-substantive <br />amendments such as adjustment of shared operational expenses during the term <br />of the Memorandum of Understanding. <br /> <br />3. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute a sublease <br />agreement with the County of Orange Social Services Agency in which the <br />County agrees to pay rent to the City an amount not to exceed $189,788 for a <br />term expiring June 30, 2023, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the <br />City Manager and City Attorney (AGMT. No. 2019-XXX). <br /> <br />4. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute a sublease <br />agreement with the State of California Employment Development Department <br />in which the State agrees to pay rent and reimburse one-time charge for tenant <br />improvements to the City an amount not to exceed $1,166,005.96 for a term <br />expiring June 30, 2023, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City <br />Manager and City Attorney (AGMT. No. 2019-XXX). <br /> <br /> HOUSING AUTHORITY ACTION <br /> <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION: <br /> <br /> <br />1.Authorize the Executive Director and Recording Secretary to execute a First <br />Amended and Restated Phase II Memorandum of Understanding with the Santa <br />Ana Workforce Development Board which outlines the sharing of resources and <br />expenses associated with the operations of a comprehensive one stop center for <br />a term beginning May 7, 2019 to June 30, 2022 and payment to the City of Santa <br />Ana in the estimated amount of $30,005, subject to non-substantive changes <br />approved by the Executive Director and Authority General Counsel. <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA 16 MAY 7, 2019 <br /> <br /> <br />
