shelter as a long term solution but instead using it as truly emergency shelter- where we triage, diagnose, and <br />move them to more appropriate accommodations. Emergency shelter should be the ER of shelters not a long <br />term place for those experiencing homelessness to live. <br />I also urge you to work with the County and our own city staff in educating the residents what the Yale facility <br />will be like- similar to The Link and not like The Courtyard. Also continue to point out to the County that their <br />own resources (21 VOC Healthcare) are right now moving folks with housing needs to Santa Ana which is not <br />right for Santa Ana, our residents, the homeless individual, or the courts. <br />Please lead on this matter. The quality of life of our residents, all of our residents including those experiencing <br />homelessness, is at stake. <br />
