Adopt a resolution establishing a Uniform Schedule of Miscellaneous Fees for Fiscal Year <br />(FY) 2019-2020. <br />2. Adopt a resolution to reduce the Sanitation Fee for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-2020. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Miscellaneous Fee Resolution (Exhibit 1) is comprised of various charges associated with but <br />not limited to the following: city services, building and enterprise related fees. Miscellaneous <br />Fees (Fees) are intended to recover the City's costs associated with delivering the corresponding <br />services, however the collection of Fees do not exceed the City's actual costs in delivering the <br />said service. <br />On an annual basis, fees and related services associated with the Miscellaneous Fee Resolution, <br />are reviewed and adjusted to reflect the City's costs in delivering the services. Unless otherwise <br />noted, the Fees are increased 3.92%. This percentage increase reflects the change in the <br />Consumers Price Index (CPI) -Urban, All Services Component, for the Los Angeles -Riverside - <br />Orange County area in a twelve-month period ending December 31, 2018. Furthermore, each <br />department has confirmed that the actual cost of providing the service does not exceed the <br />proposed fees for FY 2019-2020. <br />The FY 2019-2020 Miscellaneous Fee Schedule identifies all fees assessed as well as proposed <br />new fees and those recommended for adjustment (Exhibit 2 and Exhibit 3). The FY 2019-2020 <br />Miscellaneous Fee Schedule includes the continued waiver of the Credit Card Processing fee, <br />along with the following items: <br />• Establishment of twelve (12) new fees to recover the City's costs <br />• Modification of thirty-three (33) existing fees <br />• Deletion of three (3) fees that are no longer active <br />75A-2-1 <br />
