December, 1981 - <br />present. <br />Direct team of environmental scientists, chemists, and mechanical engineers in <br />conducting State and Federal research regarding indoor air quality instrumentation <br />development, building air quality field studies, ventilation and air cleaning performance <br />measurements, and chemical emission rate testing. <br />Provide design side input to architects regarding selection of building materials and <br />ventilation system components to ensure a high quality indoor environment. <br />Direct Indoor Air Quality Consulting Team for the winning design proposal for the new <br />State of Washington Ecology Department building. <br />Develop a full-scale ventilation test facility for measuring the performance of air <br />diffusers; ASHRAE 129, Air Change Effectiveness, and ASHRAE 113, Air Diffusion <br />Performance Index. <br />Develop a chemical emission rate testing laboratory for measuring the chemical <br />emissions from building materials, furnishings, and equipment. <br />Principle Investigator of the California New Homes Study (2005-2007).
