LS 6.4.19 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-044 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT <br />NO. 2017-03 FOR THE PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 2935, <br />3007, 3013, 3019, 3025 AND 3109 WEST EDINGER <br />AVENUE <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br />A. Colleen Bathgate, representing Haphan Group, Inc. ("Applicant"), is requesting <br />approval of General Plan Amendment No. 2017-03 to amend the General Plan <br />land use designation of the properties at 3025 and 3109 West Edinger Avenue <br />from Low Density Residential (IR-7) to Medium Density Residential (MR-15) <br />and to update text portions of the City's Land Use Element to reflect this change <br />in order to facilitate construction of a 17-unit townhome development on a 1.22- <br />acre site. <br />B. In addition, the City of Santa Ana is proposing to change the land use <br />designation of four properties at 2935, 3007, 3013, and 3019, West Edinger <br />Avenue totaling 1.64-acres from Low Density Residential (LR-7) to Medium <br />Density Residential (MR-15) and to update text portions of the City's Land Use <br />Element to reflect this change. <br />C. On May 13, 2019, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana held a <br />duly noticed public hearing and voted to recommend that the City Council adopt <br />a resolution adopting Mitigated Negative Declaration, Environmental Review <br />No. 2015-14 and approve General Plan Amendment No. 2017-03. <br />D. On June 4, 2019, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana held a duly noticed <br />public hearing to consider all testimony, written and oral, related to General <br />Plan Amendment No. 2017-03, at which time all persons wishing to testify <br />were heard, the project was fully considered, and all other legal prerequisites <br />to the adoption of this resolution occurred. <br />E. General Plan Amendment No. 2017-03 has been filed to amend the General <br />Plan land use designation of the properties at 3025 and 3109 West Edinger <br />Avenue from Low Density Residential (IR-7) to Medium Density Residential <br />(MR-15). In addition, the City of Santa Ana is proposing to change the land use <br />designation of the properties at 2935, 3007, 3013, and 3019 West Edinger from <br />Low Density Residential (IR-7) to Medium Density Residential (MR-15) and to <br />Resolution No. 2019-044 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
