TTT <br />4.6.1 General Landscape Guidelines <br />A. General Guidelines <br />DG - 205 Large shade trees should be used in all open space areas <br />to provide shade to users. <br />DG - 206 Landscaping should be in scale within adjacent buildings <br />and be of appropriate size and maturity. <br />DG - 207 Landscaped areas should incorporate a 3-tiered planting <br />system based on levels to provide depth. <br />DG - 208 Landscape design concepts should include: <br />a) Use of specimen trees (36-inch box or larger) in groupings <br />and rows at major focal points, such as project entries and <br />pedestrian gathering areas <br />b) Use of flowering vines on walls and arbors where appropriate <br />c) Use of planting to create shadow and patterns against walls <br />DG - 209 Different landscape designs and plant materials should be <br />used in the various courtyards and common open space <br />areas of the development to create an individual identity <br />for each space. <br />DG - 210 Areas not utilized by structures, storage, paved walks, <br />driveways, or parking should be landscaped. <br />DG - 211 Landscaping should be spaced so it does not adversely <br />impact on -site lighting, restrict access to emergency <br />facilities, or interfere with installation and maintenance of <br />overhead or underground utilities. <br />DESIGN GUIDELINES 1 4 <br />"U,. <br />Open space amenities such as seating, planters, trash enclosures and <br />lighting are important placemaking components. <br />MAINPLACE SPECIFIC PLAN 1 4-37 <br />
