Setbacks <br />DG - 99 To promote an urban feel, parking structures within the <br />Specific Plan area are not required to step -back above the <br />third floor. <br />DG -100 "Wrap" style development, with commercial or residential <br />uses wrapping around an internal parking structure, is <br />encouraged. <br />DG -101 Parking structures may directly abut pedestrian walkways. <br />1. Parking Structure Design — Exterior <br />DG -102 Parking structure design should be efficient and use <br />construction methods appropriate to the site -specific <br />conditions within the Specific Plan area. <br />DG -103 Exterior elevations of the parking structure shall include <br />horizontal design elements. Ramps shall be situated on the <br />interior of the structure, concealed from view. <br />DG -104 Exterior elevations may be finished with materials other <br />than that of the principal building. <br />DG -105 Design of exterior elevations may be unique in style, <br />character, and architectural elements. Proposed <br />architectural elements should not be in stark contrast to <br />those of adjacent structures. <br />DG -106 Creative first- and second -floor exterior design solutions <br />are encouraged to address visibility of cars from the public <br />realm.
