EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES AND RATES <br /> 1. Scope of Services <br /> Adlerhorst agrees to provide police canine training services for the City's police <br /> department, such services to include the following: <br /> a. A minimum of one eight hour training block per month, with additional sessions <br /> available as requested or needed at no additional charge. Training to be conducted at <br /> Adlerhorst Kennels and/or SAPD Canine Training Center. <br /> b. Written evaluation submitted to the K9 supervisor for each session, based on Adlerhorst's <br /> comprehensive qualification requirements. <br /> c. Agitator training sessions for interested police department personnel, as needed. <br /> d. Certificates issued. <br /> e. Unlimited court appearances. Certified court expert testimony in the use and deployment <br /> of police service dogs (City pays travel and related expenses only). <br /> f. Ride-along and one on one sessions as required. <br /> g. Training for competition and local and international police dog competitions as <br /> requested. <br /> h. Assist in public relations demonstrations in the City. <br /> i. Availability of preparation for yearly certification (California State certified P.O.S.T. <br /> Canine Handler Update and Narcotics Dog Update courses). <br /> j. Participation in new handler selection. <br /> k. All instructors P.O.S.T. approved for K9 evaluation. <br /> 2. Rates and Compensation <br /> a. Monthly Training (6) teams, $1,000.00 per team $ 6,000.00 <br /> b. PSD Replacement and/or Expansion (2) $6,000.00 ea 12,000.00 <br /> c. Narcotic Training (2) $2,500.00 ea 5 000.00 <br /> d. Misc. Training Equipment as required 2 000.00 <br /> e. Basic Handlers Class (2) 5 000.00 <br /> 8 <br />
