controller. The Contractor shall adjust the sensitivity <br />levels to tune out any stuck detectors or replace <br />defective vehicle detector amplifiers as necessary. The <br />Contractor shall meter loops individually when <br />troubleshooting loop problems. The City shall be <br />notified of all defective loops. <br />Video Detection — The system needs to be inspected to <br />ensure normal operation, All detection zones needs to <br />be checked for proper detection and the systems needs to <br />be verified that it is capable of applying calls to the <br />controller. The city utilizes Iteris and Econolite video <br />detection systems. <br />o Battery Backup System (If applicable): <br />Some intersections are equipped with battery backup system. <br />For these locations, the Contractor shall test and verify that the <br />system is charged and in working order. <br />o Ancillary Equipment: <br />The Contractor shall check all ancillary equipment (load <br />switches, power supply, flashers, Emergency Vehicle Pre- <br />emption, etc.) in the cabinet for proper operation. <br />• Field Equipment: <br />o The Contractor shall check all pedestrian push buttons for <br />proper operation. <br />o The Contractor shall check all vehicle and pedestrian signal <br />heads for proper operation. <br />o The Contractor shall check all poles and standards for damages. <br />o Contractor shall clean Video Detection camera lens once a year <br />o Contractor shall check and notify the City of any missing or <br />damaged Reflectorized Street Name Signs (RSNS) or traffic <br />signs mounted on the traffic signal poles. <br />o Maintenance of safety lights at traffic signal are done as part of <br />Street Lighting System Maintenance only. <br />• Maintenance Record: <br />The Contractor shall maintain a record log in each controller cabinet <br />showing the date and time of any service. It shall consist of: <br />o Routine Maintenance <br />o Extraordinary Maintenance <br />All records shall be legibly written or printed.
