June 11,2019
Councilman David Penaloza
Santa Ana City Council
20 Civic Center Plaza
P.O. Box 1988, M31
Santa Ana, CA 92701
Via email 2Egnatnta-ana org
Dear Councilman Perialoza:
I am writing to you as a business owner in downtown Santa Ana, My business is
Planning Commission
recen#ly approved Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2q9-03, which provided for
amendments to certain development and design s#andards in the Transit Zoning Code
Specific Development SD-84. Since SD-84 was adopted in 2g1q, no significant
development has occurred in the downtown district. This Amendment is what is needed
to streamline the development requirements in e downtown area which will allow
developers to move forward with mixed use projects.
It is my understanding the City Council will review this itern at the July 2, 2019 hearing,
I strongly urge your support of this Amendment.
Sincerely,
