Orozco, Norma
From: Jill Stankan <
Sent: Tuesday, July 02, 2019 9:33 AM
To: eComment
Subject: Homeless, Crime, Drug & Hazard Waste Issues in Santa Ana
Dear Sirs,
My company owns & manages over 200 properties in the LA, OC, IE, Ventura & San Diego counties. Four of them are
located in the city of Santa Ana. Over the last several years we have seen an upswing in the crime, homeless, drug use,
and bio hazard waste at or near our locations. Below is a list of the activities that have been witnessed:
Birch Street
Drugs, alcohol, and street racing at the end of the Birch Street cul-de-sac
Fairview Street
Homeless camps and vandalism to businesses that back up to the Greenville Banning Flood
Channel
Grand Avenue
Homeless camps, vandalism, theft, biohazard, break-in's, trash on the property
MacArthur Blvd.
Major homeless camps, vandalism, theft, biohazard waste, break-in's, and trash along the
railroad tracks
I am asking for the full support of law enforcement, public works, mental health services, Union Pacific and the County
of Orange to enforce our anti -camping laws, drug laws, illegal dumping laws and other means already on the books
designed to deal with these types of serious crimes. It is only a matter of time before one of our tenants or customers to
their places of business are harmed or are further victims of break-in's and theft.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
Kindest Regards,
E]
Rexford
Industrial
JILL STANKAN
Portfolio Manager
